Trimming your gasket if it is a little too tight

You can also trim the gasket with a sharp pair of scissors.

Step 1: Press the gasket in half.

Step 2: Begin to trim the gasket above where you are holding it, start with a 1/3 to a 1/2″ in trim at a time.

Step 3: Complete the cut using as few cutting motions as possible to avoid rips or tears.
